Since this is yet another thing I've yet to do, I'd suggest looking at the XML side of the i3d of a mod that has the function already. www.modhoster.com/mods/chevrolet-c-10-fleetside-lwb-1966www.modhoster.com/mods/bmw-m3-e92Those two mods already do. I know there is an "isdyeable" line of code that needs to be added to the moddesc, but there is obviously something in the i3d itself that allows certain parts to change color. abel663 has done it before, so if he sees this post, he might be able to clue us in on what else needs to be changed for that function.

ok got the color select done on first mod but on the second one when choosing color the headlights and licence plate also go the same color how do i choose just the body to be the color? and is the numbers in the dyeable line the color that is choosen. cause the headlight lenses and licence plate are in the same dds file.

If the headlights and body are the same material and texture, they will both change color at the same time. That's probably your issue.

That's probably your issue. yes the lights are in the same diffuse texture as the cab is there any way to fix that or is impossible to put color select on that truck. tks You could reassign textures in Blender, but it's probably not worth it. Which truck is it, just curious?
