I was wondering what all had to be done to edit a truck. I'd like to put stacks, visor, fenders, and a headache rack on a truck. Do I just use GE? Do I put them on and that's all that has to be done? I've edited maps before using GE but never trucks, tractors, or equipment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

For the AFP Pete 388, all you need is GE to remove parts.
You can make parts in Blender or something else, but all of our parts are separated.
Future trucks from OSFS will also be separated for ease of editing.

Thank you. Now to figure out how to use blender. I was trying to experiment by taking stacks off of a truck from fs2013, and we'll, that didn't work at all! Lol is blender pretty easy to use? I haven't really used it. Is there anywhere I should look for using it? Or is it a trial and error kinda thing? I'm VERY new at modding. Thank you for your patience with me.

Ok, depends on the truck, if you are editing AFP's 388, or one of PHM's trucks, you can swap stuff in and out easy. It would help a bunch if you could show us the truck

There are dozens and dozens of videos on Youtube on how to use blender with several series going from nothing to a working mod in farming simulator, but for me, blender has a very high learning curve, and that coming from a 20yr IT professional. I have used thousands of programs in 20yrs and never found a program more demanding, BUT that being said, if you have patience and a quiet home around your computer (mine is not with a very happy 3 yr old toddler) you can build anything in Blender. I have seen some very amazing things created in blender recently. And hopefully I might be able to learn the ins and outs of Blender, but for now, I will gladly leave that to the pros out there ;-)

Ok. I'll have to look and see what I can find out there. I'm not the best with computers but I'm willing to learn and stick some time in it. I'll take any advice and guidance I can get. I was kinda playing with blender a month ago and couldn't figure out how to use it. I'll have to try and find some good videos on how to use it and play around. Any tips will help at this point. Lol

Do you have a specific truck in mind that you want to edit?

I'd like to take one of 379 Petes from AEM, preferably the log truck, and take the log rack off, put a headache rack on, stacks, a drop visor, chrome rims, and finders. And I was also thinking the the 388 Pete and doing all that but the headache rack.

LMS's Pete's had the stacks joined to one of the main model parts last I checked, I don't think you can swap the stacks out on it, or the visor, but the headache rack is easier, the 388 has one hiding in it's .i3d with the vis unchecked, find it, "export with textures" it to the other truck, import it, place it on the main transform and put it where you want it, less then 5 mins. ive also got a question about this but its for FS13 not FS15....trying to take stacks off one truck and put on another which I can do but how do you adjust the exhaust particles that's all im stuck on really.. cant figure that out thanks It's the Exhaust particle nodes in the .i3d.

Ok thank you. I'll have to look and see if I can find them. Do you by chance know of any other day cab peterbilts that are easier to add accessories to? It may be off topic but how easy is paint.net to use? I'd like to customize the paint to look the one I drive in real life.
