I edited a tractor cab in blender and when I export it back out it has blocky textures instead of smooth ones like it did originally.. just wondering what I'm doing wrong? I've done trucks before and had no problem... this is my first tractor edit.. hopefully this screen shot will show what I mean.. The tractor on the left is the edit with the bad textures... look at the rear fender and exhaust...

Really easy fix, just hit smooth shading! www.dropbox.com/s/oum9vxdvh2moowq/Screenshot%202015-03-06%2015.08.40.png?dl=0

When do I hit smooth shading? Right after I apply the UV texture? Do I need to texture all over again? I tried hitting that button with the mesh all selected and it exported blocky yet... so I'm still doing something wrong..

You need to be in object mode to make smooth shading work, and on the UV texture thing either way works.

You might need to remove doubles and then smooth, with an edge split modifier. Some stuff holds its facetedness when you export from Blender.

I did try removing doubles, but then it was too smooth...much too rounded... should I just try and find a different model? This is buggin' me... lol

Also, btw that's not a texture problem, it's a model problem.
