Let's say you are a modder who has uploaded something to the FS community without clear instructions prohibiting public downloads.
One day, you see an edit of your mod on OS-FS, and you want it taken down. What should you do?
Our mod removal process is simple: please contact one of the three admins of this site with a message from an account bearing your name on another forum, AEM or FS-UK preferably since the three of us are most active on those FS sites, and let us know.
We will be happy to take it down.
OpenSourceFS stands for a freer, open community that actually functions as a modding community, not just a set of completely independent individuals. As a community, we grow and get better together. Each time the staff and members of this forum and every other forum in the FS world help someone get better at modding, it increases the chances that that person may someday give back to the community.
However, we understand that the whole community doesn't share our views. While we may disagree with them, we respect them at the same time. So if someone doesn't want an edit of their mod uploaded to our site, they need to express that desire in a PM to one of our admins.
Hopefully, as OS-FS picks up, the quality of our edits and the way we do business will rub off on the whole community and contribute to a better experience for all of us who love the Farming Simulator game series.
Thank you, and happy farming.
