History: 


Back in FS 2011, I made a map also called New York Farms that some of you may have heard of. At the time, that map was decent for being FS 2011... The idea was to have a bunch of farms with a dairy between the two lakes because I'm from Upstate New York. The Finger Lakes Region to be exact. 


Anyways.. Back when the "community" really started to fall apart on February 20th, guys started dropping like flies.. Yes, even before that things were bad, but I really started to notice it on that date.. So I got all hot headed about the whole situation and got a fire under me to make a map for me and everybody else to enjoy... So I downloaded a starter map and the rest is history.. If I can remember correctly, I was on winter break senior year of High School.. (Just graduated this year) and I worked all day all night of my break and I had to force myself to close out GE after 20 straight hours of mapping.. No I'm not lying about that.. So with every idea came another one and another one......... and another one... For a while I kept pictures of it off my page and barely sharing anything with anybody.. Then I kinda came out of my shell and appreciated all the good comments about a "true" dairy map, etc... Yes yes yes enough of the talk just get on with it.. Show me some pics and features, will ya!

- Chopped Straw, Corn
- Water Mod
- Universal Processing Kit
- Whatever else I can find

SWEET!! I've been following this for a while and am stoked you are doing this. Really looking forward to seeing the finished product and I really appreciate the hard work you put into this.

Thank You, MasseyFarmer! Been a lot of long nights and gray hairs appearing and a bit of hair pulling... Lol.. But yeah I've been getting a lot of comments lately about people appreciating the hard work that I've been putting into my Map. I think that comes from maps with errors, not loading, bad quality, etc.. Releasing a map or mod with errors in it is not even a thought in my mind.. Sure, it might take me a while to get things where I want it, but it will get done and get done right. The layout of the map is 2.24 MB on the i3d and the map is 3/4 of the way done.. I've seen other maps with 20, 30, 40, even 50 MB i3d sizes.. If said person decides to release it, not very many people will enjoy playing on a laggy map unless you've got a super computer. I've got some good specs in my Desktop and the map runs flawlessly other than a few texture errors but that's very very minor.

Hey, it's the least I could do, I can't mod myself so I kind of depend on you guys. It really pisses me off when people like you who do these amazing things get crapped on and ignored. Again, cant really express how much I'm looking forward to this and how thankful I am someone is finally doing a good US dairy map. I live in Wisconsin, and while my family farms row crops I really enjoy dairy as well, and the area you've modeled looks a heck of a lot like my neck of the woods. Thanks for reading my rambling lol.
