I guess I'll start off this thread, I have a question about adjusting the speed of an implement. In this case, This pertains to the Kenworth T800 Fertilizer truck "Floater Spreader" as some call it ;-) that I have converted to FS15 and am still working the bugs out.
The truck itself can run at 38mph, but when I start the spreader, it locks in a 9mph. Would the "max speed" line work to speed up the spreader? I'm not looking at blazing speeds here, but a normal Fertlizer spreader like this one can travel 20 - 25mph or sometimes more while spreading fertilizer. Is this the way to speed it up?
Thanks,
Carolina Boy

Try it! Pretty sure that's the line you want!

i'd assume that is the line you want as long as it corresponds like if say it says max speed 9 or whatever it may be there is a pretty big chance that is your line
also always make a back up

RESOLVED
I have resolved this, so let me share with you what was going on. In the mod I was using as an example, it had the line maxspeedlimit="25 but FS15 apparently doesn't like that, so I changed it to speedlimit="40" (matching another mod I found). Since this number is in KPH, and I wanted it to be a certain MPH, I googled convert KPH to MPH, 40kph = 24MPH, so I now have the Kenworth Fertilizer Spreader Truck running at 24mph while spreading fertilizer.
Now just to clarify this, I'm not trying to speed it up to some insane amount, I just wanted to get the speed to a more normal working speed for the Fert Spreader, because it was running at 9mph before that.
Hopefully this thread will help the next modder!

Also for those who are interested, Here's how to adjust AutoCombine once you have adjusted the speed of your mod. We can thank Dan Ran on FS-UK for this one. fs-uk.com/forum/index.php?topic=171557.msg1143310#msg1143310 In the AutoCombine.lua, look for self.acParameters.speed = 10; and change it to 20 or whatever speed you want to use, remember, this setting is in KPH as is your "speedlimit" statement, see my previous post. Thanks,
