PHM - Praire something Modding. UM - Unlimited Modding.
They're a few of the mod-teams. Like we do with SMW - Serious Modding Works. AEM - American Eagle Modding. FS-UK - Farming Simulator - United Kingdom.
And to list on.

AIM = American Iron Modding
And there is some obscure ones I can't remember.

Well I started playing farming simulator 2011 a few years back and I saw videos before I got it and people had trucks and plows and trailers but I have to say I was pretty disappointed when I first played it realizing they weren't in the shop so it took me awhile to figure out they were mods so I was trying to download some and failed along with the fact my dad helped me and didn't know how to do it so about a few months later I saw exe downloads and I started.I couldn't do the manual installations cause I couldn't figure it out then I figured out I had to put it in the mods folder so I got that down and afterwards I got fs 2013 and about a year later I started adding parts and changing colors and summer of 2014 I started modding.Now I can script things and add a bunch of different things.

Alright, children. Back on topic. Next one to post a word concerning PHM, or the old drama will receive three day ban.

Remember this is introductions, not community bashing. The community is full of problems on all sides because people make up the community, and people generally have issues.
But the introductions thread is supposed to be about how you started playing this game, not who you don't like.

First off, I would like to tell the staff of OS-FS I am glad they are doing what they are doing by creating this website and cleaning up the Farming Simulator community.
Anyways, I entered the fs world by a friend showing me YouTube of FS13. Before we even got the game, we were in the computer lab every day during free time at school looking at mods. We had the hardest time trying to play multiplayer, and struggled with the idea of getting a mod in the game. Soon, we had a few mods and we thought we were on top of the world. Soon, I had wondered over to converting 2011 mods like just about everyone, and had some trouble with that. I joined fs-UK to learn more about modding. I started with some low quality edits, and some eye-sore reskins. Soon I did enough reading and learned of sketchup, where my modeling career began. Modeled a few models, and gave up. I was pretty good at reskinning, and giants editor. I soon discovered blender, and have been learning ever since. And now I am searching for a new computer to allow me to play FS15 and to open giants editor. I do not have the FPS measured, but I am almost positive I get around 5fps. Anyways, that is where I stand now.

Hi, I'm dph and I'm an FS-aholic
Oh, this isn't FS-anonymous.
Well I first got into Farming Simulator in 2011. I was on workman's comp due to a back injury sustained on the job, and after over a month sitting at home I made a weekend trip to Houston to visit a friend of mine. We went to Fry's electronics over near NASA, and I saw Farming Simualtor 2011. Being a part of the Farm toy hobby for 6 years, I had heard of this game, and new it was the type of game to be modded. I decided to try it. After getting addicted, I spent gobs of money upgrading my computer to be able to play it well. I bounced from map to map, game to game, and eventually was able to make a small 1x map of my own. After playing it for a month or so, I decided it was too small and made a 4x map. I played one full season on this map, and by this time had gotten proficient enough in Giant's editor to be able to throw together some mods. One of the first I made was a 330 turbo till made out of a wing disk that Surci had made on Modhoster, and some crumblers I found. In this time I figured out how to texture models by converting the "hacked" 9230 combine from fs 2013 to 2011 (had to do this through blender because of the shapes file.
Well after playing 2011 for a while, a friend of mine convinced me to convert over to fs13. After talking with him, I decided I wanted to take the "google Earth" approach to making my next map. After figuring out just the area of my town I wanted, I figured out that a 4x map would be just too small. I decide to take on the task of making a 16x map. After laying out about 25% of the map, I decided the power poles that I could find were still too European. I decided to try and make my own wooden power poles and made a whole power network. These were the first models I'd ever made in blender, but they had some many individual pieces because I didn't know how to combine objects, and I wanted them to be as customizable as possible because it's no two power poles look the same in Louisiana.
After getting items converted over to FS 2013, I decided to try a scratch built implement. I built a couple of Dualls but they weren't great so I kept them mostly to myself. Finally, while bored at work one day (happens often when you're a state employee) I decided to try to rebuild the turbo till. After many requests for a flexible disk, I was able to team up with Westmorgan to make it happen. After about 3-4 rebuilds, the Case IH wing disk pack was released on AEM and people seemed to like it. Immediatly I started making other implements that I really wanted to play with. I made a McFarlane Harrow, Jd 650 wing disk, CIH 496 24' disk, IH 475 wing disk, and even managed to edit the 1480 model into an accurate 1680 and got permission to upload from Knagsted. Finally I attempted a Demco Cart. The Demco was a fail, but as much as people complained about it, there were some that would still do anything for it, even as far as backstabbing me and sharing it with their friends. It was about that time I took down all of my mods with the exception of the Case IH disk pack on AEM and continued to mod for myself.
I took a break from modding to remodel my map. Thanks to the guys in the UM Teamspeak, especially Sivy, I had learned a great deal of what I could do in Blender, so I rebuilt the power grid and even made a few more items.
I finally just got tired of playing and modding and took a brief retirement. I came back after Carolina Boy convinced me and rebuilt the Case disks from the ground up. They are currently in the scripters hands, but with the "community" in the shape it's in now, I'm not 100% sure I should release them once they're completed.
Well thats about all for me.
